In accordance with the Terms and Conditions (link) of each type of membership, services include:
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
For both mechanical and tyre faults. OHTO’s initial aim is always to get members’ vehicles repaired at roadside, to enable them to continue their journey.
VEHICLE RECOVERY
If roadside repair is not possible, vehicle recovery is arranged to a destination of the customer's choice.
PROFESSIONAL HORSE TRANSPORT
Provided by our trusted network of professional transporters when a vehicle requires recovery.

OHTO’s network of horse transporters is extensive, having been built up over the past 30 years. All companies used comply with current legislation covering the transport of horses.

OHTO understands that in a breakdown situation, the welfare of their horses will be the member’s main concern. We make it our priority, and we place enormous value on the relationships we have with transport companies throughout the UK.

Experienced incident managers with extensive equine knowledge oversee all breakdowns where horses are onboard. Including, but not limited to, liaising with Police/Highways where necessary, discussing the type of horse transport that might be required, explaining the service that will be provided and addressing any concerns, regular contact with members throughout any incident for animal welfare reasons and also to monitor service provision by suppliers.

We do cover vehicles carrying animals other than horses. If you transport other animals please contact us to ensure that we are able to meet your particular requirements.
